FRYETTE DELIVERANCE SERIES II+ ON A SINGLE SETTING
In this video Joe Gamble plays the D120 Series II+ on a single setting throughout the entire clip. All tonal variation is generated by changing pickups and rolling of the guitar's volume knob.
Gear used: Fryette D120 Deliverance Series II+, Fryette Deliverance 2x12 w/Fane F70Gs, Grosh Electrajet w/Grosh pickups, Stymon DIG delay, Shure SM57, Universal Audio Apollo Twin, Logic Pro.

New for 2024, the Deliverance II+ is a practical and sonically inspired evolution of one of Fryette Amplification’s most popular amplifiers. Several forums and Facebook groups created by fans and users are dedicated to discussions and tone-sharing tips for this legendary tone machine.
The Deliverance II+ features an expanded Clean mode that improves dynamic range, headroom and sensitivity to guitar volume changes. To accomplish this, GAIN II goes to zero level regardless of the front panel setting. This reduces clean gain and gain stage white noise, producing a lush, transparent clean playing experience that allows you to explore the subtle transitions from super clean to edge of break up, all the way to medium crunch.
The Deliverance preamp section has a broad dynamic range, which accounts for its extra touch-sensitivity and excellent guitar volume control response. In addition, overdriven voicings can easily be dialed up using the unique GAIN I / GAIN II structure with a little icing via the highly effective Presence and Depth controls. From there, just working your guitar volume and tone controls will yield a surprising range of voicings.
The Deliverance Sixty and One-Twenty power amp sections utilize 6550 power tubes for robust low-mids and sparkling high end harmonics. They are designed for big round tone and dynamic response at low to medium guitar volumes and a rapid but smooth transition into saturation, turning rich and thick at full guitar volume. This combination of preamp voicings and power amp response makes the Deliverance amplifier an ideal partner for any instrument, from a vintage Tele to a fully blown 8-string metal axe.
Specially designed, precision wound power and output transformers produce optimum attenuator approved performance, reliability and stability, delivering excellent power tube response and just the right amount of natural output transformer saturation and compression.
Whether you prefer the pavement pounding torque of the Deliverance One-Twenty or the chunky authority of the Sixty, you'll be rewarded with an unbelievable array of tonal options that belie their simple front panel control set.

    What was the brand of that blue cap? Many companies use that blue color. Even F&T has dual can caps in that color. But I can't believe that F&T would die in 5 years. I use them in most of my amplifiers and I haven't seen any issues yet. They measure at or above the given value. ESR is always good. Though last batch of 50 + 50 500V I got sections are more apart then before. One side has higher capacitance and better ESR than the other. Still way in the tolerance and at positive side. But old batch was having more alike values. One cap would be better than others in the old batch but they were all above stated values. 32 + 32 were very similar between sections and between each other. Their single caps were even more consistent for me.

    Few years ago there was a Marshall PA head for reasonable price in the music store in the other city. It looked very similar to that one. I was like score, if it has proper irons it’s a gold. Plus so many channels that must mean lot of preamp tubes and other goodies. Then I saw inside pictures and that was it. Disaster. Plus no way near what I thought it will be. Way less parts and modified and worked on. Looked very sad and I just decided not to get it. Something cheaper than it should be is often just almost junk. It’s nice t easy to get those good deals.

      Standard speaker cables are usually 18ga. "Heavy Duty" cables are usually 16ga. Our cables are 14ga for maximum power handling capacity from the amp to the Power Station, and maximum fidelity from the Power Station to your cab.

You don't have these problems with Marshall or others yet your amps have problems new from the shop ???? Overrated product and Overpriced not impressed at all, since buying a NEW 2/90/2 nothing but problems. My old Marshall mono block is still kicking arse after 25yrs.

    To FRYETTE: I have a PS100(which I love) HOWEVER:: I was wondering If the cyclops in ANY way solves the problem of Not being able to hear the Effects in the effects loop in the outgoing "line out" (either balanced or unbalanced) that goes to the DAW. You stated that the "effects loop" is AFTER the "line out" Thereby nullifying any effects in the loop. So the only way I can see around this is: Going from the "Balanced line out into the input of the effects chain...then from the effects chain out, into the DAW...Is that about it???

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps 13 днів тому

      The Power Station Line Out is a line level copy of your amps output connected to a load. That is what you would normally send to an interface or DAW and add your effects within the DAW. The FX Loop takes that Line Out level and sends it to external effects, then returns them to be sent to the power amp stage in the Power Station so you will hear the effects in the speakers. So what you're asking for is TWO Line Outs. The one that's already there serving its intended purpose, and then another one that feeds off of the Power Station Speaker Output that you can use to send the total effected signal to wherever else you intend to connect that. Since there is no room on the rear panel to add another line out, you should consider getting an external line out level box for the second function. Or, simply send from the loop to pedals and the output of pedals to your recording interface or DAW for example.

      @@tetsuo2195 We are definitely in the minority. We'd rather leave tested, well performing 40 year old capacitors in a perfectly functioning amplifier than charge the customer $200 (because that is what it would really cost them) to replace them with current parts that in many cases likely would not last even 10 years. Understanding how this dynamic works in the real world is essential and often misunderstood, which is the point of this video. The facts, supported by scientifically derived evidence beats personal bias and internet hearsay every time.

      @@FryetteAmps I was speaking as someone who can work on amps, so $50 in parts, to me, is worth the peace of mind, . There is no harm in replacing 40 year old filter caps. You can find science that says you might not die from smoking a a cigarette today. But why not eliminate the risk and just quit now? Those old caps might test ok and work, but why chance it to save a few bucks? I don't see any benefit to keeping old filter caps. But, to each their own.
